These chemicals are in liquid or paste form. Each has a specific effect tailored to meet the patient’s needs.
Light chemical peels, for example, use less intense acids such as lactic acid in order to be gentler and remove shallow lines. Stronger peels depend on stronger chemicals to reach lower in the skin layers and erase imperfections at their roots.
