Introduction
Arm lift or brachioplasty surgery is similar to body lift surgery in that it removes excess skin and fat if needed to give a more shapely defined upper arm. The length of incision is dependent upon the nature of your tissues before surgery, but is generally placed on the inner surface of the arm and extends from the elbow to the axilla (arm pit). This procedure is done as an outpatient, meaning you can go home the same day. Recovery before returning to desk type work is 5 to 7 days with resumption of vigorous exercise after 4 or 5 weeks.
